Sony Pictures recently announced the return of the original Indian superhero Shaktimaan, but this time he will appear on the big screen in a trilogy. The original Shaktimaan Mukesh Khanna, like all 90s kids, is ecstatic about the project.
Khanna revealed that they had been working on this for a long time but were waiting for the right moment to make the announcement. He went on to say that he was “relieved” that he could keep his promise to the fans, as he had hinted at the film previously.
It is unclear whether Khanna will appear in the film or not, and the actor has stated that he cannot reveal this information at this time. He stated that he is attached to the project, but that “many things like casting, direction, and so on are still being firmed up.”
Mukesh assured fans that Shaktimaan’s aura and powers would “remain the same,” but that “things around him” would change. Mukesh referred to him as “the biggest superhero in the world because of the kind of powers he possesses.” “It will be made on a larger scale and with today’s scenario in mind,” the actor added. Shaktimaan’s originality will be preserved, and the essence will remain unchanged even in the film.”
Shaktimaan premiered on Doordarshan in 1997 and ran for eight years. Mukesh Khanna, who played the title character in the hit TV show, came up with the idea.
